
Hi Friends,
I work as an election reporter for Decision Desk HQ on Election Night (or Election Week as it turns out), so I’ve done a lot more vote gathering from local election offices than sleeping this week. What does that mean for you? It means you get this missive a day late and several hundred words short.
I want to start by saying I’m proud of my fellow Americans this week. We made our voting plans, braved long lines and a worldwide pandemic, and navigated the absentee ballot process to get to the polls and make our voices heard. That’s inspiring whatever side you support.
Sweet Tea is a politics-free zone, so today we are going to collectively giggle about something we can all agree on—it’s fun to watch national news reporters struggle with some of Georgia’s more creatively pronounced towns and counties. With all eyes on Georgia and our squeaker of a presidential race, there have been lots of opportunities to giggle.
